Golf Solitaire: learn through an example

Take a moment to read the table. Remove all 35 tableau cards. Select cards directly on the tableau and work through a full solo deal. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer. Begin with the objective. Take an exposed bottom card one rank above or below the waste top, allowing ace–king wrapping. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Seven columns of five, one stock pass. Free solo play, no wagering.

Build familiarity through play

Keep the active rule in mind. Tap exposed cards that satisfy the removal rule shown above. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

How to interact with the game

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use another round to revisit a decision. For a calm first round, focus on one decision.

An example to follow

Waste queen accepts jack or king. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

A useful caution

Keep the active rule in mind. Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Use another round to revisit a decision.
